Former Hawkeye cornerback Michael Ojemudia has parlayed a quality career at Iowa and a strong NFL Combine performance into a 3rd round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The former 2-star linebacker from Michigan was chosen with the 77th pick by the Denver Broncos. That makes him the 3rd Hawkeye taken in this draft, following Tristan Wirfs, who was selected 13th overall yesterday, and AJ Epenesa, who was taken 54th by the Buffalo Bills.
Ojemudia was projected as a late-middle rounds guy throughout the year. He finished his senior season with 52 tackles, 3 interceptions, 9 passes defended and a fumble recovery for the Hawkeyes, who finished the year 10-3.
