The 18-year-old had barely played in the A-League before this season but his rapid rise underlines why he is one to watch for the future
Riley McGree has had a breakout 2016-17 A-League season, leading to a surprise Socceroos call-up, but the Adelaide United teenager remains a relative unknown to mainstream Australia.
Having only made one senior appearance for the Reds before this campaign, McGree has played 15 games in all competitions, filling a variety of midfield roles as he's impressed Adelaide coach Guillermo Amor and - subsequently - Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou.
The 18-year-old's rapid rise has plenty of pundits predicting a long and illustrious career for McGree.
