The Mexican goalkeeper put in a fine performance in the Confederations Cup third-place game against Portugal, highlighted by a first-half penalty stop
Guillermo Ochoa has made some big saves in his career, and the Mexico goalkeeper added more to his list in Sunday's Confederations Cup third-place match on Sunday.
After Rafa Marquez hauled down Portugal's Andre Silva in the penalty area early in the first half, Ochoa was called upon to keep the match scoreless on the ensuing spot kick. A lengthy VAR deliberation delayed proceedings, but eventually the penalty was awarded and the 31-year-old 'keeper stood equal to the task, diving to his right and pushing Silva's effort out for a goal kick.
