Nice and Rennes to pay special tribute to terror attack victims

The two sides open their Ligue 1 campaign in Nice a month to the day after 85 people were killed and over 300 more injured in a terrorist attack on Bastille Day.

Nice and Rennes will kick off the new Ligue 1 campaign with a tribute to the victims of the Bastille Day terrorist attacks by wearing special jerseys displaying the name of all those who died in the tragedy.

A total of 85 people died and over 300 more were injured when a truck was driven through a crowd of people celebrating the national holiday in Nice, which ended when the culprit, Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, was shot and killed by police.
