- Another boost to Van Gaal will be the return of Bastian Schweinsteiger. The German midfielder has been out since early January and has been named on the bench. The former Bayern Munich star will be a likely substitute should United be ahead towards the end and need to add a little extra composure to the midfield. There is little in the way of attacking threat on their bench, though the same cannot be said for Liverpool, who have both Christian Benteke and Divock Origi waiting in reserve today.
