Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara to host 2017 Gold Cup final

The home of the San Francisco 49ers will play host to the Gold Cup final July 26.

A year after playing host to the opening match of the Copa America Centenario, Levi's Stadium will serve as the venue for another marquee event.

The 68,500-seat stadium in Santa Clara, California, has been chosen to host the Gold Cup final July 26, CONCACAF announced Wednesday. One of 14 stadiums in 13 cities hosting CONCACAF's premier tournament, the home of the San Francisco 49ers is playing a part in its first Gold Cup.

"Levi’s Stadium has quickly earned a place among America's top venues in terms of atmosphere, amenities and fan experience," CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani said in a news release.
