Pradip Kumar Banerjee has died at the age of 83. He is survived by two daughters, namely Paula Banerjee and Purna Banerjee.
He was suffering from respiratory problems due to pneumonia, with an underlying history of Parkinson's disease, dementia, and heart trouble. Banerjee was admitted to a Superspeciality Hospital on February 6 with complaints of a severe chest infection. He had been on ventilator support in intensive care for the last few days. A temporary pacemaker was also put in place to counter the side-effects of lung problems.
He was born on October 15, 1936, and was the eldest of his seven siblings.
