JDT counting on Thai pre-season to give them an advantage against Bangkok United

Ismail Ibrahim hopes that Johor Darul Ta'zim will be third time lucky in their attempt to reach the Asian Champions League group stage

For the third year running, Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) will face a Thai team in the preliminary round of the Asian Champions League qualifier. After failing to get past Bangkok Glass in 2015 and Muangthong United in 2016, Bangkok United is the latest team to stand in the way of JDT.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, JDT's assistant Ismail Ibrahim points out that his team has been gearing up for this year's qualifier with the right pre-season and is hoping that will be rewarded with the right result.
