The Netherlands scored twice in the final 11 minutes to beat Germany 4-2 in Hamburg. The Germans had took an early lead through Serge Gnabry, while Toni Kroos equalised from the penalty spot after Frenkie de Jong and a Jonathan Tah own-goal had turned the contest on its head. However, debutant Donyell Malen climbed off the bench to put the Dutch back in front, before Georginio Wijnaldum sealed the deal in stoppage time.
