After 288 A-League appearances, Eugene Galekovic has decided to retire despite another strong season with Melbourne City.
The veteran keeper was recently awarded City's Player of the Year but will hang up the gloves after falling to Adelaide United in an elimination final.
"I’m sad to call it a day but proud of my career and what I have achieved," Galekovic said.
"Thanks to my parents for giving me the opportunity from a young age to realise my dreams and thanks to my partner who has supported me in my journey.
"These past two seasons at City have been very rewarding and I’ve enjoyed sharing my experience and helping along the younger players.
