Mamelodi Sundowns continued with their winning run when they beat AmaZulu 3-0 in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Saturday night at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The reigning PSL champions were chasing their ninth win PSL win of the season and faced Usuthu away from home to get off their second-round campaign underway.
The Brazilians were also looking to continue with their winning ways following their 1-0 win over Polokwane City just before the Christmas break.
On the part of Usuthu, coach Jozef Vukusic was hoping to lead his troops to their second win after beating Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 away from to wrap up their 2019 in style.
