The Colts traded solid -- and improving -- cornerback Rock Ya-Sin to the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday for pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue.
Ya-Sin's statistically improved throughout his Colts career in the following categories according to pro-football-reference:
Completion percentage against: .697 to .672 to .533
Passer rating against: 109.2 to 98.7 to 88.8
Penalties: 9 to 6 to 3
Passes defensed: 5 to 7 to 8.
But the Colts have struggled to generate a pass rush with just 33 sacks last season. Ngakoue has a minimum of 8 sacks in each of his six seasons and only superstar Aaron Donald has more quarterback pressures (211) since 2016 than Ngakoue's 140.
