INDIANAPOLIS – In two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Tom McMahon has effectively changed the culture inside the team’s special teams room.
What was once a weakness for the Colts, special teams has quickly become a game-changing unit under McMahon’s leadership.
Thanks to the legs of All-Pro kickers Adam Vinatieri and Pat McAfee, McMahon’s room embraces the steps their unit can take to reach end goal.
“If you are afraid to say the words ‘Super Bowl’, you (aren’t) ever going to get there. That’s an expectation,” McMahon, the Colts special teams coordinator, says.
