What Colts are saying about rookie WR Mike Strachan's lack of playing time

INDIANAPOLIS — Rookie wide receiver Mike Strachan dazzled with his physical tools at times during training camp, then tantalized fans by making two catches for 26 yards in the season opener.

Strachan’s playing time took a dip two weeks later, and the rookie hasn’t been able to get back into the rotation despite all of his physical tools.

Strachan played 52 offensive snaps in the first two games, but he’s played just 10 since then, and he’s been a healthy scratch seven times, including four games in a row.

“He’s continued to do a good job on the scout team, in drills and working hard,” coach Frank Reich said.
