T.Y. Hilton says he was 'five seconds away' from leaving the Colts before re-signing

At 1:13 p.m. Wednesday, T.Y. Hilton said he was 5 seconds away from signing with the Baltimore Ravens.

"Did you see my eyes tweet?" the newly minted Indianapolis Colts receiver asked former teammate Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show Thursday. "That was the text that I was almost gone.

"Five seconds away."

Instead, Hilton signed a one-year deal with the Colts on Wednesday for $8 million guaranteed with a chance to earn as much as $10 million.

Hilton said the Ravens made a strong push at the end and that he turned down more guaranteed money "the day I signed," after speaking to Colts owner Jim Irsay.
