Source: Colts sign ex-Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes

The Indianapolis Colts moved quickly to replace Pierre Desir. Five days after releasing one of their starting cornerbacks, the Colts signed veteran Xavier Rhodes to a one-year deal, a league source confirmed.

Like the Philip Rivers signing before him, the Rhodes' addition is grounded in previously built relationships. The ex-Vikings corner spent the first seven years of his career in Minnesota, a few of which were under the tutelage of Jonathan Gannon and Alan Williams, both now defensive backs coaches in Indianapolis. Williams, in fact, was the defensive coordinator when the Vikings selected Rhodes No. 25 overall in 2013.
