Indianapolis Colts fans all know Anthony Richardson is constantly hurt. His most recent injury is likely his most severe. He broke an orbital bone in Week 6 pregame warmups, the same pregame that cornerback Charvarius Ward suffered his second concussion of the season (his second of, sadly, three).
Since that week, Ward has rarely played and is thinking about retirement. Richardson, meanwhile, isn't sure of his future, other than that he doesn't think about it much. He knows he is currently under contract with the Colts through next season, but after that, the future is a mystery.
In his year-end press conference, head coach Shane Steichen (who somehow has his job even though he is 7-22 against teams with a winning record in his time with Indy), was asked about Richardson's next steps with Indy, and Steichen had no real answer for it.
