Running more screens might help the Colts

The Colts haven’t been able to throw the ball down the field very well the season. They seem afraid to let Jacoby Brissett unleash his strong arm. Because of that, they have struggled to move the ball down the field. But one type of play might help them out a little bit.

Screen passes can be one of the most effective plays in football. They work very well against blitzes, but can still work against zone as well. The Colts haven’t run many screen passes, and maybe they should start running some.

Not only do screens have a chance to break for big yards, but they can help a quarterback get into a rhythm.
