INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent defensive end Chris McCain and waived tight end Randall Telfer with a failed physical designation.
McCain, 6-5, 236 pounds, has played in 35 career games and has totaled 34 tackles (26 solo), 11.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, three forced fumbles and three special teams stops in his time with the Los Angeles Chargers (2017), New Orleans Saints (2016), Dallas Cowboys (2016) and Miami Dolphins (2014-15). He was originally signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 19, 2014 out of California.
