INDIANAPOLIS - Jim Irsay's deliberations appear to be over, and the Colts will remain with the status quo for 2017.
The Sporting News' Alex Marvez reported Friday morning that Irsay provided assurance to head coach Chuck Pagano his job is safe. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport later added that general manager Ryan Grigson also will be retained.
Both men have three years remaining on their respective contracts after receiving extensions last year.
Indianapolis is 49-31 over the past five seasons with Grigson and Pagano in charge, but the team just completed a second straight 8-8 campaign. The Colts were just 1-6 against playoff teams in 2016 and missed the postseason in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1997-98.
