Philip Rivers, Colts rally to take down Bengals, 31-27

INDIANAPOLIS — Philip Rivers clearly doesn't care about narratives, because the one on him coming into the game was that he couldn't carry an offense anymore. He couldn't put a team on his back and rally when they were down multiple scores.

The 38-year-old gunslinger proved that to be folly Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, playing his best game in a Colts uniform and leading the Colts back from a 21-0 deficit to beat the Cincinnati Bengals 31-27.

Outside of one bad interception, Rivers was sensational, particularly in the first half when he led the Colts on three consecutive scoring drives to dig out from a 21-point hole.
