Maxx Crosby’s contract leaves Colts with zero excuse not to make a move

The Indianapolis Colts' defense has been a bit of an issue in 2025. Sure, the team is 6-1, but mostly because they are an offensive juggernaut. Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo shouldn't be solely to blame, however. His unit has been banged up.

In fact, Indy's defense could be a lot better in the second half of the season. Hopefully, Charvarius Ward, the team's best cornerback, can stay healthy. He's missed three of seven games already and will miss at least another three after being placed on injured reserve.

But once he returns, as soon as Week 12, he is going to make the defense better.
