Legendary Colts offensive line coach Howard Mudd in Seattle ICU after motorcycle accident

INDIANAPOLIS — Legendary Colts offensive line coach Howard Mudd is in the intensive care unit at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center after going through a serious motorcycle accident last Wednesday, according to a page on the Caring Bridge website that is posting updates from Mudd’s wife, Shirley.

Mudd has undergone an orthopedic surgery on his pelvis and was scheduled to have surgery on his spine, but doctors were forced to delay the spinal procedure, according to updates from Shirley Mudd.

According to the updates, Mudd has been awake off and on, and one family member is allowed to be with him in the hospital, and there has been an outpouring of support from the offensive line community, the Colts fan base and other friends.
