Maybe the 2025 season was always going to be a setup for the Indianapolis Colts. The team jumped out to a 7-1 record by playing a historically high level of offense against mostly bad teams. Indy was great, but maybe they weren't as good as their record implied.
The second half of the season was going to be much tougher, even if Indy kept winning. Indianapolis had to play the Jacksonville Jaguars twice, the Houston Texans twice, the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Colts finished with only three losses, the regular season would have been miraculous.
