Insider: Uncharacteristically sloppy, Colts gave away a game they should have won

PITTSBURGH — The final kick, the laces in and the hook that followed, is likely going to command the attention after this Colts loss to the Steelers, overshadow everything that came before.

But the reality is that missed field goal was only the last in a long line of chances Indianapolis had to take control of Sunday’s game and put it away.

The Colts handed it right back every time.

“We can’t play like that,” Colts linebacker Anthony Walker said. “That’s not Colt-brand football.”

Indianapolis (5-3) has made a living on the margins this season.
