Insider: ‘Keep watching,’ Colts say big plays are coming

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts don't throw deep. The eye test says so. The numbers agree.

The quarterback? He begs to differ.

“Yes, we have,” Jacoby Brissett says.

Well, not very often.

“We just get PI (pass interference) every time.”

OK. To Brissett’s point, Deon Cain has been interfered with on two deep shots downfield that totaled 99 yards.

More Colts:

But even with those two penalties factored in, the Colts aerial attack has generated only 11 plays of 20-plus yards. That’s tied for 29th in the NFL ahead of only the hapless Dolphins and the Jets -- who were without Sam Darnold for four games.
