Insider: Jonathan Taylor's remarkable endurance critical to MVP campaign

INDIANAPOLIS — For all of the remarkable things Jonathan Taylor has done to force his way into the MVP race this season, the most surprising might be how healthy he’s remained despite carrying an increasing share of the Colts’ offensive workload.

Fourteen games into the season, Taylor has played in every game, handled a remarkable 66.7% of the Colts’ offensive snaps and leads the NFL in touches.

But he still seems fresh.

When Taylor made his cut and broke into the clear on his game-sealing 67-yard touchdown run to beat the Patriots last week, his legs were still fresh enough to run away from every New England defender, breaking his own mark for the top speed any ball carrier has hit in the NFL this season.
