INDIANAPOLIS — The same day the news of the Carson Wentz trade broke, the quarterback started reaching out to his new Colts teammates.
Wentz got back to cornerback Kenny Moore immediately, texted free safety Julian Blackmon, quickly gauged Michael Pittman Jr.’s desire to keep No. 11 and realized the second-year receiver was set on it, then flew out to California a couple of weeks ago to work with Pittman and Dezmon Patmon.
Even with the NFL offseason in full swing and Colts scattered across the country, the franchise’s new quarterback has been hard at work trying to build relationships with his new team.
