INDIANAPOLIS — The final week of the preseason is never an easy one around the NFL.
On Saturday, 37 players will have their dreams of playing for the Colts this season crushed. And more could be cut Sunday after the team surveys the waiver wire for players they're interested in from other teams.
So a spring and summer of competing together toward a common goal ends abuptly when then final horn sounds to end Thursday night's game aganist Cincinnati at Lucas Oil Stadium.
And, with new general manager Chris Ballard calling the shots for the first time, very few players can feel completely safe.
