Indianapolis will host NFL Combine in 2022, but then other cities can bid for the event

The NFL Combine has called Indianapolis home since 1987 — but that might change soon.

On Wednesday, the NFL told all 32 teams via memo that it would accept their bids to host the combine each year from 2023-2028, first reported by Indianapolis Business Journal. For 34 years, 300 of the top collegiate athletes have been invited to Indianapolis to prove in front of coaches and scouts that they deserve a place in the NFL.

"The League, in concert with the Combine Executive Committee, is considering ways to grow the Combine as a tentpole event, while at the same time enhancing the prospect experience and partnership," the memo read.
