The Colts never really replaced Rashaan Melvin after he signed with the Raiders in free agency.
They missed out on any of the free agent cornerbacks they may have been targeting, and general manager Chris Ballard did not select a single defensive back with any of their 11 draft picks last weekend.
Indianapolis did recently sign veteran Kenneth Acker and they added a few undrafted free agent cornerbacks to their roster, but I wouldn’t expect any of those players to drastically improve the Colts’ depth at this position.
Indianapolis had the worst pass defense in the league last season, and this cornerback depth chart may cause them to slip towards the bottom of the league again in 2018.
