The Colts have numerous holes on their roster, but the tight end spot is not one of them.
They added to that strength by bringing in former Browns tight end Randall Telfer to a depth chart that already has Eric Ebron, Jack Doyle, Brandon Williams, and Erik Swoope among others.
Cleveland tried to trade Telfer to the Chiefs last week, but both teams called off the trade before the deal was done.
No reason was found for the trade falling through. The Browns reacted by waiving Telfer.
The Colts decided to pounce when they saw Telfer on the waiver wire.
