Before the famous shrimp cocktail would even arrive to the table in the basement of St. Elmo Steak House -- where NFL broadcasters dined when they came in for Colts games -- John Madden would spot Eddie White and head straight to him.
Madden didn't have to say it. White already knew what was coming.
"Hey, give me a little Shula," Madden would say with his gregarious laugh.
Madden loved White's imitation of Don Shula, the late Miami Dolphins coach whom Madden (then coaching the Raiders) faced three times in the playoffs in the early 1970s.
