Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee had an up close and personal view of Adam Vinatieri's kicks during his time as a holder.
He knows the operations leading up to a kick — the snap and a successful hold are as important to a made field goal as striking the ball. His tenure with the Colts also made him keenly aware that something seemed off with the NFL's all-time leading scorer.
The Colts placed Vinatieri on injured reserve Monday due to a lingering left knee injury.
