Former Colts LB Jonathan Newsome has charges dropped

The Colts took a zero tolerance approach when a fringe player was arrested this offseason. On February 17, Jonathan Newsome was arrested at his home in Zionsville and was initially charged with marijuana possession. The arrest prompted the Colts to release the two-year player just days after.

Newsome took a plea deal that charged him with one count of maintaining a common nuisance. It will go down as a Class A misdemeanor and place him on probation for a year. The marijuana charges were dismissed.

The police were called to Newsome’s home in mid-February for a noise complaint.
