Keefer & Doyel talk Colts win Indianapolis Star
LANDOVER, Md. – The white Oxford, the plaid slacks, the brown leather shoes, all of it goes on slowly. Now Indianapolis Colts rookie linebacker Darius Leonard is holding his purple tie, and he’s just staring at it. Really? A tie?
“I’m so damn tired,” Leonard was saying to nobody. “So damn tired.”
Well, sure he was. Leonard had just recorded 18 tackles with a sack, a forced fumble and pass breakup on the final play, sealing the Colts’ 21-9 victory Sunday against Washington and announcing his arrival as the Colts’ next defensive star – not tomorrow, not some day, but this day.
