All offseason, Indianapolis Colts fans were right to question whether head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard should still have their jobs. The team was seemingly stuck in mediocrity with a quarterback situation that was awful.
Steichen, of course, was tasked with turning 2023 first-round draft pick Anthony Richardson into a good NFL quarterback. He couldn't. Was that Steichen's fault?
Based on Week 1 of the 2025 season versus the Miami Dolphins, coupled with Daniel Jones' first start of his Indy career, Steichen is in the clear. So is Ballard. Richardson is the main problem, it seems.
