Colts: TE Trey Burton, DT Sheldon Day return to practice, WR Parris Campbell has surgery

INDIANAPOLIS — A pair of offseason acquisitions returned to practice for the Indianapolis Colts.

Defensive tackle Sheldon Day (knee) and tight end Trey Burton (calf) -- both placed on injured reserve ahead of the season -- practiced Wednesday in a limited capacity, coach Frank Reich said.

The team now has 21 days to decide whether they'll return to the active roster or remain on IR for the rest of the season.

Reich did not say whether either would be ready for Sunday's game in Chicago, only that each will be evaluated with that determination coming later in the week.
