In another consecutive day of roster moves, the Indianapolis Colts signed a homegrown talent in free agent Kitt O’Brien at offensive guard and waived Ben Heenan in a corresponding move.
As a former CFL standout, Heenan was signed earlier this offseason, but suffered a torn meniscus in training camp earlier this week and was projected to be out 4-6 weeks. Consequently, the Colts reached an injury settlement with him and subsequently waived him.
O’Brien is a 6’5″, 325 pound offensive guard, who’s a local product as he resides from Walton, Indiana, and played his collegiate football just up the road on I-69 at Ball State.
