Colts Seventh-round pick Patterson to miss 2019 with ACL injury

Offensive lineman and 2019 NFL draft pick Javon Patterson will miss the upcoming season after tearing his ACL, head coach Frank Reich told media Tuesday afternoon. The injury was sustained during team activities at OTAs.

Patterson was taken with the 246th pick of the draft, and was one of two offensive lineman selected in the final round. The 21 year old started all of his last three seasons at Ole Miss, and had 42 career starts across all three interior positions.

While the Colts essentially have their starting line intact for the 2019 season, Patterson was in the mix to make the roster as a backup along the inside of the offensive line.
