Another week, another injured quarterback.
That hamstring strain suffered by Indianapolis Colts third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst on Sunday in Miami was a little worse than previously thought. Whitehurst on Monday was placed on injured reserve, eliminating him from the picture as the Colts look ahead to Sunday's season finale against the Tennessee Titans.
Whitehurst was in line to start the game because second-stringer Matt Hasselbeck suffered a Grade 1 throwing shoulder sprain and, according to coach Chuck Pagano, is doubtful to play Sunday. Meanwhile, starter Andrew Luck is still not cleared to return from a lacerated kidney and seems unlikely to play at this point.
