WESTFIELD – Before he joined Frank Reich’s coaching staff, before he became one of the mechanics entrusted with the Indianapolis Colts’ fleet of quarterbacks – including the $140 million franchise Ferrari, Andrew Luck – Marcus Brady was a quarterback himself. Even if everybody kept telling him he wasn’t.

The professional sports franchises that scouted him at Morse High in San Diego in 1997 didn’t see a quarterback, or a football player; they saw a shortstop.
