EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — One unofficial count put the number at six, but there will always be quibbles.
It's unquestionable, however, the Colts' continued to struggle with drops on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Some of them were huge. Rookie running back Nyheim Hines allowed a touchdown pass to slip through his hands on third down from the 1-yard early in the second quarter, and wide receiver Chester Rogers dropped a wide-open pass inside the 10-yard line on the ensuing drive that also ended with a field goal.
Others helped to end drives more quietly.
They all added up to another missed opportunity in a 42-34 loss against the Jets.
