Colts Notebook: Improving defense gets reinforcements

Related Topics: Clayton Geathers

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts defense entered the bye week playing its best football of the season.

And it looks to have come out of the bye week as the healthiest its been in some time.

A unit that limited its last three opponents — Cincinnati, Houston and Pittsburgh — to average of 293.3 yards expects to welcome outside linebacker John Simon and safety Clayton Geathers back into the fold when it hosts the rival Titans (6-4) on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

"It’s been a progress all year, and I think we’re moving in the right direction," Simon said of the defensive performance.
