On “The Trenches” podcast with Zaire Franklin and E.J. Speed, the Indianapolis Colts starting linebacker tandem responded to a Pro Football Focus article, which left them both off of the NFL’s top 32 linebackers rankings.
Indianapolis finished among the five-worst defenses in points allowed, but held its own against the run and when faced with crucial downs. The Colts allowed just 4.03 yards per rush, which ranked tenth in the league. Opponents converted just 37% of third down opportunities, which was the 11th-lowest percentage in the league. PFF listed the Colts linebacker unit as the 26th-best in the league, so it’s no secret the Colts have one of the NFL’s most underrated linebacker units as both players aim to earn their first Pro Bowl nod in 2024.
