The Indianapolis Colts knew heading into Week 5 that they would be missing a couple of key players. Wide receiver Alec Pierce suffered a concussion in Week 3 and appears to have suffered a setback ahead of the matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Slot cornerback Kenny Moore II is also out with an Achilles injury. Like Pierce, he also missed Week 4, though Moore's absence was not as detrimental as Pierce's. The problem had nothing to do with what either player did or did not do, however.
The issue became that wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, whose reps picked up with Pierce out, made two critical mistakes that literally cost his team the game.
