Colts 'haven't talked about' who will kick when Rodrigo Blankenship returns

INDIANAPOLIS — Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship is eligible to return to the Colts after missing the last three games, but Blankenship is not healthy enough to come off injured reserve in time for Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets.

Veteran Michael Badgley will be the team’s placekicker against the Jets.

Badgley, who spent three years as the Chargers starting kicker, has been reliable in the past three games, making all three field goals and all 11 extra points, including all of his kicks in a driving rainstorm in Santa Clara, Calif.

When Blankenship is healthy enough to kick again, the Colts will have a decision to make, a decision Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich indicated isn’t going to be made until the rubber meets the road.
