Since the Indianapolis Colts aren’t yet playing real football, general manager Ryan Grigson has had to caution his optimism this spring and summer. Plenty of young talent has flashed during the team’s offseason workouts. But Grigson knows the reality. They’re in shorts. They’re not in pads.
So much can change. So much will.
“The darlings that are out here (practicing well), I keep trying to temper my enthusiasm because when the pads come on, a lot of times it does this (he flips his hand over),” Grigson said Thursday morning while the Colts began their final minicamp practice.
