Colts GM Chris Ballard made an appearance on the May 5 episode of Colin Cowherd's podcast for a discussion that ranged from Ballard's drafting philosophies to the Carson Wentz trade to what his current relationship is like with Andrew Luck.
Chris Ballard on trading for Carson Wentz
Once quarterback Phillip Rivers retired at the end of last season, the Colts traded for Carson Wentz. Rivers showed out in his lone season in Indy and Ballard believes Wentz can have a seamless transition as well.
“I almost see the same thing with Carson here over the first month and a half," Ballard said, "where it’s a pretty seamless transition for Carson just because of his relationship with (coach) Frank (Reich), who also happens to be the play-caller.
