Time and time again this offseason, Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard warned that he wouldn't "force it" at the quarterback position during the NFL Draft. If they picked someone, he had to be the right guy.
"It's going to be a guy that we have a strong conviction on, and we know that we think he can be our future," Ballard said late Friday night after the second day of the draft. "And we're not there yet."
About 13 hours later, the Colts got there. With their first pick of the fourth round (No. 122 overall), the Colts selected Washington quarterback Jacob Eason.
